The NERM Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a motorized trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive hoist, which allows for exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that offers speed adjustability along with integral count hour functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design also includes a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, improved motor and brake cooling thanks to a fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. Both the hoist and trolley are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet RoHS environmental requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Additional trolley features include a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to enhance trolley motion and diminish beam wear. All hoists come with a test certificate confirming that the hoist has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
