The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under the cover variable frequency drive, providing exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds with a maximum speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. The hoists are equipped with a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a variable frequency drive for speed adjustability, and an integral hour count functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, a 5 pocket load sheave minimizes vibration and extends chain life, while a fan-cooled motor helps maintain a cooler motor and brake temperature. Other attributes include low profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly as they meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
