The Nerp Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing outstanding load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is powered, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that facilitates speed adjustability along with integral hour counting functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist operational time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, as well as a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake operation. Additional specifications include low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, meet RoHS requirements for environmental safety, and exceed ASME H4 duty ratings. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
