The Nerm Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a motorized trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive hoist, which provides exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral hour counting functionality, which records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoist includes a 5-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life, a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake temperatures, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoist and trolley are UL listed to UL 1340, are built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features consist of a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that facilitate smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in compliance with ASME B30.16.
