The kit includes single piece housings made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, featuring silver-plated solid copper contacts and a self-cleaning contact design that resists arcing. The contacts are equipped with flared and heat-treated barrels, which readily accept fine stranded wire to ensure a consistent contact. Mechanical keys within the housing prevent the mating of different color connectors, thus avoiding mismatching of voltages. Integral stainless steel springs maintain constant pressure on the contact, ensuring a consistent, low resistance connection. Additionally, the assembly consists of one colored housing with two tips, and auxiliary contacts provide a secondary circuit connection.
