The kit includes single piece housings made of impact resistant polycarbonate, featuring silver plated solid copper contacts. The self-cleaning contact design resists arcing, while the contacts possess flared and heat treated barrels that readily accept fine stranded wire to ensure a consistent contact. Mechanical keys in the housing prevent mating of different color connectors, effectively preventing mismatching of voltages. Integral stainless steel springs maintain constant pressure on the contact to ensure a consistent, low resistance connection. Additionally, the assembly consists of one colored housing with two tips, and auxiliary contacts provide a secondary circuit connection.
