The Modine 340,000 BTU steam or hot water unit heater with an explosion-proof motor operates at 230 volts and utilizes a three-phase configuration. This horizontal hydronic unit heater features horizontal airflow and includes top and bottom steel female pipe connections, allowing the unit to rotate 360° without requiring any changes to the piping. It is constructed with copper tubes and aluminum fins, complemented by adjustable louvers, a balanced fan, and a fan guard. The unit also comes with a motor and electrical junction box, and its two-piece casing design allows for easy access to the coil. The HSB models are equipped with tapped holes for suspension using a threaded rod or an optional pipe hanger adapter kit. The serpentine copper tube coil design is engineered for high resistance to thermal shock, even under elevated steam pressures, while the absence of coil headers minimizes potential leaks and maximizes coil face area without increasing the unit's size. The coil design enhances water carrying capacity and reduces friction loss. The unit is CSA certified and manufactured in the U.S.A., with a 1-year limited warranty.
