The Modine 47000 BTU steam or hot water unit heater is equipped with an explosion-proof motor and features horizontal airflow, top and bottom steel female pipe connections allowing for 360° rotation without changes to the piping. It is constructed with copper tubes and aluminum fins, adjustable louvers, a balanced fan, a fan guard, and a motor and electrical junction box. The unit has a 2-piece casing for easy access to the coil and includes tapped holes for suspension by threaded rod or an optional pipe hanger adapter kit. Its serpentine copper tube coil design boasts high resistance to thermal shock, even under high steam pressures, while the absence of coil headers minimizes potential leaks and enhances coil face area without increasing the unit size. Furthermore, the coil is designed for greater water-carrying capacity with lower friction loss. The heater is CSA certified and made in the U.S.A., with a 1-year limited warranty.
