The model KPO5-43 (nominal 5-ton or 60,000 BTU) is a compact portable cooling unit measuring 32" wide, designed to easily fit through a standard 36" door. This unit is suitable for applications requiring efficient transfer of cold air to hard-to-reach heat loads, such as sealed interior rooms, providing temporary cooling in situations where dedicated A/C units are under repair. The KPO5-43 can be positioned outdoors and ducted into the building or placed indoors with ducting for interior rooms. It features advanced airflow capabilities, allowing for up to 50' of cold air return and supply duct, as well as up to 65' of hot air exhaust ducting. This model operates on a 460-volt/20-amp 3-phase circuit, necessitating hardwiring by a qualified electrician. It includes a low ambient temperature capability using variable frequency drive technology, enabling operation in temperatures below freezing. The robust design includes a heavy-duty base with removable wheels and forklift skid access for convenient movement and setup. Additionally, it is equipped with a high functional phase monitor for electrical protection against power fluctuations that could damage components, and an internal high lift condensate pump. Constructed from HD 16 gauge insulated G90 galvanized steel with an epoxy powder-coated finish, the cabinet is mounted on a 12 gauge skid for enhanced durability and low maintenance. The unit is compatible with high static hyperdrive evaporator fans capable of supporting 50' of ducting, operates effectively within a wide temperature range of 32 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and is ETL and CETL listed to UL and CSA standards.
