The product features a heavy 11 oz pre-coated woven vinyl coated mesh polyester screen that is resistant to ultraviolet rays, as well as being rot, tear, and mildew resistant. With a 17 x 11 polyester scrim, the mesh provides small openings that are difficult for insects to penetrate, resulting in a shade screen factor improvement of 65%, which helps keep non-air conditioned plant spaces cooler for longer. The screen utilizes 18 oz vinyl on the leading edge, valance, and floor sweep for enhanced wear and durability, while the valance is mounted to the building rather than the curtain track, improving stability. A full-length fiberglass tube stiffens the leading edge of the curtain, ensuring a proper seal against the door jamb. The mesh curtain is permanently attached to one side of the door's vertical edge and closes to the opposite side, creating a complete seal with top valance panels and a bottom floor sweep for nearly total insect protection. A pliable hem on the leading edge guarantees a good seal, and the screen glides side-to-side on an easy-to-install track with a dual-wheeled trolley roller system.
