The kit includes a roof access hatch engineered with compression spring operators for smooth, easy, one-hand operation, while the automatic hold-open arm locks the cover in the open position to ensure safe egress. The overlapping cover design features full welded corners on both the cover and curb, along with an EPDM rubber gasket and fully insulated cover and curb, which ensure weathertightness and energy efficiency. Constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, the hatch provides many years of trouble-free, dependable service. Heavy gauge construction and a positive latching mechanism maintain building security. The curb is equipped with the BIL-CLIP® flashing system, a method that allows for the quick and easy securing of single-ply roofing material to BILCO roof products. This system is specifically designed to provide equipment access through the roof.
