The kit includes a cast aluminum housing and wheels, designed to be spark resistant and compliant with AMCA type B spark resistant construction standards. This cast aluminum material is corrosion resistant, lightweight—only 1/3 the weight of carbon steel fans—allowing for reduced structural support when mounted. It exhibits increased strength in cold temperatures while remaining non-magnetic, which is beneficial for electronic applications to minimize interference issues. The standard discharge position is upblast, with options available for upblast, top horizontal, or downblast configurations upon request at the time of order placement. The product is suitable for operation at a maximum temperature of 150 degrees F and is made in the USA. It is applicable for vehicle fume exhaust removal in garages and fire stations, material conveying of dust and non-abrasive light particulates, cooling in UV light curing equipment, providing high-pressure air for air knife blow-off applications, supplying combustion air for gas burners, and generating suction pressure for hold down tables during the printing process on corrugated packaging materials. Installation must be performed by a licensed electrical contractor.
