The BSC Preferred™ self-dumping steel forklift hopper is designed for safety and efficiency, featuring a balanced construction that allows it to roll forward when loaded, dump completely, and automatically return to an upright, locked position for reloading. The hopper is constructed with continuous welding to prevent leakage of wet materials, and leak-proof options are available upon request. It includes a formed smooth edge around the top and pouring lip to enhance safety and strength, along with extended sides to minimize material scattering. The hopper is equipped with a strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism and includes a safety chain that wraps around the forklift mast to prevent accidental detachment. Factory-installed upgrades available upon order include legs for pallet truck access, a chain latch for high dumping, lifting lugs for overhead crane use, and a 3-way entry base for forklift access. Custom colors can be specified using a Sherwin-Williams paint code. Note that OSHA mandates contacting the fork truck manufacturer for written approval prior to using any fork truck attachments.
