The BSC preferred medium duty self dumping forklift hopper is designed for efficient material handling, with a strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism and extended sides to prevent side-wise scattering of materials. It supports a weight capacity of up to 4,000 lbs and is perfectly balanced to roll forward when loaded, dumping completely before automatically returning to an upright, locked position for reloading. The continuous welding construction minimizes dripping of wet materials, with leak-proof hoppers available upon request. The hopper features a formed smooth edge around the top and pouring lip for enhanced safety and strength, and includes a safety chain that wraps around the mast of the forklift to secure the hopper during operation. Factory-installed upgrades available at the time of order include legs for pallet truck access, a chain latch for dumping at extreme heights, and lifting lugs for overhead crane use, with a 3-way entry base that allows forklift access. Custom colors can be provided by supplying the Sherwin Williams paint code. Note that OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of the fork truck for written approval for the use of any fork truck attachments.
