The BSC Preferred™ self-dumping steel forklift hopper is engineered for safety and economy, featuring a design that allows it to roll forward when loaded and automatically return to an upright, locked position after dumping. The hopper includes continuous welding to prevent leaking of wet materials, and leak-proof versions are available upon request. Safety features include a formed smooth edge around the top and pouring lip, extended sides to minimize side-wise scattering, and a strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism. A safety chain is included to secure the hopper to the forklift mast, ensuring safe operation. Optional factory-installed upgrades available at the time of order include legs for pallet truck access, a chain latch for dumping at extreme heights, lifting lugs for overhead crane use, and a 3-way entry base for forklift access. Custom colors can be ordered with a provided Sherwin-Williams paint code. Compliance with OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of the forklift for written approval for any fork truck attachments.
