SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage of wires and cables while maintaining an attractive, professional appearance, ideal for reception rooms and security areas. Reception counters and work surfaces are constructed from 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, with a 12" deep reception counter offering a convenient writing surface for guests and visitors while maintaining receptionist privacy. Desktops include 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings, and the desk framing is made of black finished steel for lasting strength. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions designed to reduce noise and create privacy, featuring flame retardant properties compliant with the California 117 flammability standard. The 1-3/4" thick fabric upholstered panels have an interior engineered wood (MDF) frame and honeycomb core covered with a heavy tackable liner for structural strength, with panel trim finished in self-extinguishing extruded polymer for optimum safety and rigidity. Panels include 4" high black powder coated steel raceways with cable management openings for phone and data cables, and removable raceway covers allow easy wiring access. Panels with electric raceways feature built-in double-sided power boxes, each equipped with four Circuit-1 receptacles and modular cables, accommodating up to six receptacles per power box (three per side), with additional receptacles sold separately; included blanks cover unused openings. Adjustable leveling feet accommodate uneven surfaces. The U-shaped reception station includes a 72" wide desk that accepts installation of optional storage options such as pedestal files, keyboard drawers, and mouse trays, which are sold separately. The unit offers easy assembly and comes with a one-year warranty.
