SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage for wires and cables while maintaining a professional appearance, making them ideal for reception rooms and security areas. The reception counters and work surfaces are constructed with 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, featuring a 12"D reception counter that offers a convenient writing surface while preserving receptionist privacy. Desktops include one or two 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings. The desk framing is made of black finished steel for durability. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions designed to reduce noise and create privacy; these flame retardant panels meet the California 117 flammability standard and are 1-3/4" thick with fabric upholstery over an engineered wood (MDF) frame and honeycomb core, supported by a heavy tackable liner. Panel trim is made of self-extinguishing extruded polymer for safety and rigidity. Panels incorporate 4"H black powder-coated steel raceways that provide cable management openings for phone and data cables, featuring removable covers for easy wiring access. Panels with electric raceways include built-in double-sided power boxes, each equipped with four Circuit-1 receptacles and modular cables, supporting up to six receptacles per box (three per side, with additional receptacles sold separately); included blanks cover unused openings. The reception station includes adjustable leveling feet suitable for uneven surfaces. The U-shaped station features a 72"W desk that accepts optional storage options such as a pedestal file, keyboard drawer, and mouse tray (sold separately). The station offers easy assembly and comes with a one-year warranty.
