SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage of wires and cables while maintaining a professional appearance, making them ideal for reception rooms and security areas. Reception counters and work surfaces are constructed with 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, featuring a 12" deep reception counter that offers a convenient writing surface for guests and visitors while ensuring receptionist privacy. Desktops include 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings. The desk framing is made of black finished steel for durable strength. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions that help reduce noise and create privacy, with flame retardant properties meeting the California 117 flammability standard. The panels are 1-3/4" thick, fabric upholstered with an interior engineered wood (MDF) frame and honeycomb core, covered by a heavy tackable liner for structural support. Panel trim is finished with self-extinguishing extruded polymer for optimum safety and rigidity. Panels include 4" high black powder coated steel raceways with UL listed modular electric components and cable management openings for phone and data cables, featuring removable raceway covers for easy wiring access. Panels with electric raceways have built-in double-sided power boxes, each containing four Circuit-1 receptacles and modular cables, with capacity for up to six receptacles (three per side), with additional receptacles sold separately and blanks included for unused openings. The station includes adjustable leveling feet suitable for uneven surfaces. The L-shaped reception station comprises a 36" corner desk and two 36" wide by 24" deep returns. Desks support the installation of optional storage options including pedestal file, keyboard drawer, and mouse tray, which are sold separately. The unit offers easy assembly and comes with a one-year warranty.
