SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage for wires and cables while maintaining a professional appearance, ideal for reception rooms and security areas. Reception counters and work surfaces are constructed with 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, and the 12" D reception counter offers a convenient writing surface for guests and visitors while ensuring receptionist privacy. Desktops include 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings, and the desk framing is made of black finished steel for durability. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions designed to reduce noise and create privacy, featuring flame retardant material that meets the California 117 flammability standard. The 1-3/4" thick fabric upholstered panels contain an interior engineered wood (MDF) frame with a honeycomb core and a heavy tackable liner for structural strength and support, trimmed with self-extinguishing extruded polymer for safety and rigidity. Panels include raceways for easy access to data cables and electrical wiring, with 4" H black powder coated steel raceways housing UL listed modular electric components and cable management openings for phone and data cables; removable raceway covers allow easy wiring access. Panels with electric raceways include built-in double-sided power boxes, each with four Circuit-1 receptacles and modular cables, accommodating up to six receptacles per box (three per side), with additional receptacles sold separately and blanks provided for unused openings. The reception station features adjustable leveling feet to accommodate uneven surfaces and a U-shaped configuration with 48" W and 60" W desks, which support installation of optional storage components such as pedestal files, keyboard drawers, and mouse trays (sold separately). The unit offers easy assembly and includes a one-year warranty.
