SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage for wires and cables while maintaining a professional appearance, making them ideal for reception rooms and security areas. The reception counters and work surfaces are constructed with 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, featuring a 12" deep counter that offers a writing surface for guests while maintaining receptionist privacy. Desktops include 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings, and desk framing is made of black finished steel for durable strength. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions designed to reduce noise and create privacy; they are flame retardant and meet the California 117 flammability standard. The 1-3/4" thick fabric upholstered panels feature an interior engineered wood (MDF) frame with a honeycomb core and a heavy tackable liner for structural strength and support. Panel trim is finished with self-extinguishing extruded polymer for safety and rigidity. Panels incorporate 4" high black powder-coated steel raceways with cable management openings for phone and data cables, with removable raceway covers for easy wiring access. Panels with electric raceways have built-in double-sided power boxes containing four Circuit-1 receptacles each and modular cables, with the capacity to hold up to six receptacles (three per side), and included blanks cover unused openings. The reception station comes with adjustable leveling feet suitable for uneven surfaces and features a U-shaped configuration with a 72" wide desk. Desks support installation of optional storage components such as pedestal files, keyboard drawers, and mouse trays. The kit ensures easy assembly and includes a 1-year warranty.
