SC Preferred® by SC Preferred reception stations with raceways provide convenient storage for wires and cables while maintaining an attractive, professional appearance, making them ideal for reception rooms and security areas. The reception counters and work surfaces are constructed from 1" thick scratch-resistant laminate, with a 12" deep reception counter that offers a convenient writing surface for guests and visitors while preserving receptionist privacy. Desktops include 2-3/16" diameter cable management grommet openings. The desk framing is made of black finished steel for durable strength. Reception station panels consist of SC Preferred® partitions that help reduce noise and create privacy, featuring flame retardant properties that meet the California 117 flammability standard. Panels are 1-3/4" thick, fabric upholstered with an interior engineered wood (MDF) frame and honeycomb core covered by a heavy tackable liner for structural strength and support. Panel trim is finished with self-extinguishing extruded polymer for safety and rigidity. Panels contain 4" high black powder coated steel raceways, including UL listed modular electric components and cable management openings for phone and data cables, with removable raceway covers for easy wiring access. Panels equipped with electric raceways include built-in double-sided power boxes, each containing four Circuit-1 receptacles and modular cables, capable of accepting up to six receptacles (three per side; additional receptacles sold separately), with included blanks to cover unused openings. Adjustable leveling feet are provided to accommodate uneven surfaces. The L-shaped reception station includes a 36" corner desk and two 36" wide by 24" deep returns. Desks support the installation of optional storage options such as pedestal files, keyboard drawers, and mouse trays, which are sold separately. The unit allows for easy assembly and comes with a 1-year warranty.
