The BSC Preferred pallet rack upright frame is constructed from 13-gauge steel and features a total rated capacity of 32,900 lb, making it a robust solution for supporting pallet rack beams. This welded upright frame is finished with a durable, baked-on enamel coating. The teardrop connection style ensures compatibility with various beam types, and it is recommended to calculate the total weight of all pallets for each pair of upright frames when selecting an upright beam. When determining the setup, consider the height of all pallet loads and the beam height, allowing a clearance of 4" to 8" between the top of the load and the bottom of the beam above, ensuring the top beam is at least 6" lower than the maximum reach of your forklift. Additionally, frame depth is determined by the length of the pallet, which should overhang the frame by 3" at both the front and back. The upright frame is interchangeable with those from manufacturers such as Interlake, Wireway/Husky, Unarco, Steel King, USP, Speed Rack, and Invincible. Please note that the stated capacity is based on 36" beam shelf spacing, and if seismic conditions are a concern, verification of capacities must be conducted by a seismic engineer.
