The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams are essential components of the pallet rack system designed to accommodate loads efficiently. Constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16 ga steel with welded end plates, these beams are compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. Each load level consists of two beams positioned at each post of the frame, featuring a design that includes a slotted profile for the attachment of accessories to prevent sliding or dislodgment. The beams are secured in place with two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam, while the piston lock connection ensures automatic seating and locks, safeguarding against accidental displacement. Their dimensions are 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8", and they are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). When selecting a load beam, it is advisable to determine the length by adding a minimum of 10" for two pallet widths or 14" for three pallet widths, with additional spacing for pallets with excessive load overhang. Each pair of these beams must be capable of supporting the weight of the pallets per level, and they are sold in pairs.
