The Interlake Mecalux slotted pallet rack beams serve as the horizontal components of the pallet rack system, designed for load placement. Constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16 ga steel with a continuous seam weld at the base, each load level comprises two beams positioned at each post of the frame. These Tear Drop pallet rack beams are compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. The end plates are welded and slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame, secured by two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam. The piston lock connection automatically seats and locks the frame-to-beam interface, preventing accidental dislodgment. Measuring 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8", the Tear Drop step beams accommodate crossbars and decking. They feature a slotted profile, allowing attachment of various accessories, with slotted holes strategically located at 1" intervals to facilitate accessory placement. When selecting a load beam, it is recommended to add a minimum of 10" to the combined widths of two pallets or 14" for three pallets, with additional spacing for pallets with significant load overhang. It is essential to ensure that each pair of beams can support the weight of the pallets per level. The beams are sold in pairs.
