The Interlake Mecalux slotted pallet rack beams are designed as the horizontal elements of a pallet rack system where loads are placed. Constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16 gauge steel with a continuous seam weld at its base, each load level consists of two beams, one positioned at each post of the frame. These Tear Drop pallet rack beams are compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. The beams feature welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame, secured by two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam. The piston lock frame-to-beam connection automatically seats and locks, preventing accidental beam displacement. With dimensions of 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8" H, the Tear Drop step beams accommodate cross bars and decking. This product is certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). When selecting a load beam, it is important to determine the desired length by adding a minimum of 10" for two pallet widths or 14" for three pallet widths. Additional spacing may be necessary for pallets with excessive load overhang, and it is crucial that each pair of beams can support the weight of the pallets per level. The beams are sold in pairs, with the price applicable per pair.
