The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams are essential components of the pallet rack system, specifically designed for placing loads. Constructed from a single roll formed piece of steel with a continuous seam weld at the base, each load level consists of two beams positioned at each post of the frame. These beams are compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. The beams feature 16 GA roll formed construction with welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame, secured by two safety, sprung loaded locking devices per beam to prevent accidental displacement. Each beam measures 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8" and accommodates cross bars and decking. The beams are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). When selecting a load beam, it is crucial to determine the desired length by adding a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, considering additional spacing for pallets with excessive load overhang to ensure that each pair of beams can support the required weight per level.
