The Interlake Mecalux slotted pallet rack beams are essential horizontal elements designed for pallet rack systems, providing a framework for load placement. Constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16-gauge steel with a continuous seam weld on the base, these beams feature welded end plates that slot into the front of the Tear Drop upright frame. Each load level is supported by two beams, positioned at each post of the frame, and secured with two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam to prevent accidental displacement. The 2-3/4" x 1-5/8" Tear Drop step beams accommodate cross bars and decking, ensuring versatility in storage options. These beams are Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI) certified, underscoring their compliance with industry standards. When selecting load beams, it is important to determine the length by adding a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, with additional spacing required for pallets with excessive load overhang. Each pair of beams is designed to support the weight of the pallets per level and is sold in pairs.
