The Wizard® Wiz-Kid® manual drum opener features a non-ferrous cutting wheel and a ratchet-powered deheader designed for opening steel drums in areas without power. This tool is faster and easier to use than conventional drum deheaders and is ideal for remote locations or low drum volumes. The adjustable 18" ratchet (suitable for left or right hand operation) employs mechanical advantages to reduce operator effort and minimize the risk of back strain. The opener cuts on the inside of the rolled edge, producing a safe, burr-free edge and a strong chime for possible future reuse of the drum. The inside chime cut accommodates nearly all industrial applications and the unit is capable of clearing all bungs, facilitating the removal of both tops and bottoms of all 30 and 55-gallon 16-gauge steel drums. It features a 3.64" diameter non-ferrous beryllium copper cutting wheel, making it suitable for drums containing hazardous materials. Replacement cutter wheel kits are available to maintain optimal performance of the opener.
