The Wizard® Wiz-Kid® Model J Heavy Duty Drum Deheader is specifically designed for scrapping drums, allowing for the removal of the entire drum top and/or bottom for flattening, which takes up less space and reduces liability from future drum use. This model cuts on the outside of the drum shell, below the chime, which means smooth, dent-free chimes are not required. The deheader operates in less than two minutes, utilizing a round cutter wheel that easily cuts through dented chimes, and includes a ram compactor for the removal of solidified contents. It features swivel connections to prevent tangling and is a manual air-operated unit, making it ideal for industrial settings where floors and work areas are wet. The standard cutting wheel is designed for use with conventional drums, although it is important to note that this deheader does not leave a burr-free edge.
