Iko cam follower-inch is a heavy-duty component featuring a full complement and crowned outer diameter (OD) with a hex hole, designed for high-performance applications. This model has a 1-3/4" OD, a width of 1", and utilizes a 1-14 UNS thread. The cam followers consist of needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, specifically engineered to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design alleviates uneven loads caused by deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. There are two internal designs: one with a cage for high speed applications and another with a full complement suited for heavy loads. These cam followers are ideal for cam mechanisms or linear motions and are widely used in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment due to their high rigidity and accuracy. The cam followers come pre-packed with grease; however, additional lubrication is necessary between the cam followers and the steel track on which they operate to prevent seizure and reduce friction. An appropriate nut is included with the stud.
