The IKO non-separable yoke type roller follower is designed as a full complement bearing featuring an inner ring, side plates, and a thick-walled outer ring, allowing it to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. The surface of the roller follower is treated with a black oxide coating for enhanced durability. It is available in two configurations: crowned and cylindrical outer rings. The crowned outer ring helps to relieve edge load caused by mounting errors, while the cylindrical variant is optimal for applications involving large loads or low track surface hardness, due to its larger contact area with the mating track surface. Proper lubrication is essential between the roller followers and the steel track on which cam followers operate to prevent seizure and reduce friction.
