The Iko Eccentric Cam Follower is a metric component featuring an eccentric collar and a caged design, equipped with a screwdriver slot, measuring 22 mm in outer diameter and 12 mm in width, with an M10 x 1.25 thread. These cam followers are constructed with needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring designed to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design helps alleviate uneven loads resulting from deflection, bending, or mounting misalignment. There are two internal designs offered: one with a cage for high-speed applications and another with a full complement for handling heavy loads. These cam followers serve as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions and find extensive use in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment, thanks to their high rigidity and accuracy. The eccentric collar attached to the stud facilitates easier positioning of the outer ring in the radial direction against the mating track surface. Most cam followers come prepacked with grease; however, if not, lubrication must be provided through the oil hole. Adequate lubrication is also essential between the cam followers and the steel track to prevent seizure and minimize friction. An appropriate nut is included with the stud, ensuring secure installation.
