3M™ paper belt 346UZ measures 37" x 75" with P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is constructed with a premium aluminum oxide mineral known for its cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for sanding and finishing a wide variety of substrates including wood and metal, as well as ferrous alloys. The belt features an open coat construction that resists loading, especially on soft wood, and is coated on an F-weight paper backing, one of the heaviest and most rigid paper backings available, providing smooth operation, durability, and finer finishes compared to cloth-backed belts in the same grade. The abrasive side includes 3M dust management technology to reduce static cling in dust particles, enabling easier dust evacuation when used with an efficient dust collection system. Belt ends are joined with a sine wave splice that promotes belt strength, resists hinging and splice fatigue, travels smoothly over contact wheels and platens, minimizes chatter marks, and supports consistent finishing results in either direction.
