The general purpose disconnect enclosures are designed to accommodate major brand disconnect switches and circuit breakers, and they can be supplied with or without the Hoffman-supplied defeater door handle and handle hardware. The enclosures are constructed from 14-gauge steel with seams that are continuously welded and ground smooth, ensuring durability. Notable features include a bonding provision on the door, external mounting brackets, and an external-formed flange around all sides of the enclosure opening. The enclosures have a removable door with a continuous hinge and a data pocket made from high-impact thermoplastic. Additionally, they are equipped with an oil-resistant gasket, collar studs for mounting optional panels, and various holes in both the body and the door for mounting the operating handle, operating mechanism, and door closing mechanism. The option for Hoffman-supplied padlocking defeater handles and latching systems is also available.
