All IDEM coded non-contact safety switches are designed to conform to EN60947-5-3 and are to be used as directed by ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1, featuring coded magnetic sensing that allows for a wide sensing distance and high tolerance to misalignment post-sensing. These switches can be installed behind stainless steel fittings and operate from four directions, even in extreme temperature and moisture environments. When combined with most dual-channel safety monitoring relays, they can achieve up to Ple/Category 4 compliance per ISO13849-1. Key specifications include a choice of high specification plastic or stainless steel 316 construction, dual channel electronic safety output of 2NC (with an optional 1NO auxiliary), visual LED indication of switch status, and enclosures protected to IP67 or IP69K, making them suitable for wash down applications. Additional features include no moving parts for high reliability and long life, a wide sensing distance of up to 14mm, and industry-standard wide fitting alongside front face actuation for large guards.
