Idem 201002F KLP Guard Locking Switch-Flat Act (Std Release) is designed for robust position interlock detection for moving guards, featuring a 1/2 NPT connection and made of polyethylene (PE). This switch incorporates a lock mechanism that ensures the guard remains closed until the hazard is removed, making it tongue-operated and suitable for installation on the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards. It provides positively operated switching contacts with a tamper-resistant key mechanism that is difficult to defeat. Depending on the application's risk assessment, the switch can be used independently to deliver positively operated contacts compliant with EN60947-5-1 or in conjunction with dual-channel safety monitoring relays to achieve up to Performance Level e (PLe) category 4 according to ISO 13849-1 or Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3) as per EN62061.
