The IDEM 201002HFH KLP Guard Locking Switch-HFH Act (Std Release) features a 1/2 NPT and is constructed from PE material. Designed for robust position interlock detection, these switches ensure a lock mechanism that keeps the guard closed until the hazard has been eliminated. They are tongue-operated and fit securely to the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards, providing positively operated switching contacts along with a tamper-resistant, difficult-to-defeat key mechanism. Depending on the application’s risk assessment, the switches can operate independently to provide positively operated contacts that comply with EN60947-5-1, or in conjunction with any dual-channel safety monitoring relays to achieve up to PL e category 4 according to ISO 13849-1 or SIL3 per EN 62061. Available in various materials and housing styles, these switches offer complete flexibility to suit diverse applications.
