The Idem 450002 KLTM guard locking switch (mechanical only) features a 1/2 NPT die cast construction designed to offer robust position interlock detection for moving guards. This switch incorporates a lock mechanism that ensures the guard remains closed until the hazard has been removed, and is tongue operated to fit the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards. It provides positively operated switching contacts compliant with EN60947-5-1 and can be utilized independently or in conjunction with dual channel safety monitoring relays to achieve up to PL e category 4 as per ISO13849-1 or SIL3 according to EN62061. The switch is available in multiple materials and housing styles, allowing for flexible application use, and features a variety of contact blocks, LED diagnostics, and actuators to facilitate installation and durability in rigorous environments such as factory automation, packaging, food processing, pharmaceutical, and petro-chemical industries. Key features include integral high security RFID coding, two lock monitoring contacts, auxiliary PNP outputs for switch status, LEDs for solenoid, lock, and RFID indication, a high holding force of 2000N, two emergency manual release points, IP67 ingress protection, and a rugged, solid body with dimensions of 105mm wide, 150mm long, and 73mm for fixing.
