The Idem 450005 KLTM guard locking switch (mechanical only) features a 110V power supply, 1/2NPT connection, and die-cast construction. These guard locking switches are designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards, with a mechanism to keep the guard closed until the hazard is removed. Tongue operated and suitable for sliding or hinged machine guards, these switches offer positively operated switching contacts and a tamper-resistant key mechanism. Depending on the risk assessment, they can provide positively operated contacts to EN60947-5-1 or up to PLe Category 4 to ISO13849-1/SIL3 EN62061 when used with dual-channel safety monitoring relays. With options for contact blocks, LED diagnostics, and various actuators, these switches are suitable for industries such as factory automation, packaging, food processing, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical. Additional features include high security RFID coding, lock monitoring contacts, auxiliary PNP outputs, solenoid and lock LEDs, high holding force of 2000N, 2 emergency manual release points, IP67 protection, and a rugged, solid body measuring 105mm wide, 150mm long, and 73mm fixing.
