Idem KM interlock switches are engineered for position interlock detection, suitable for medium to heavy duty moving guards. These switches feature robust die-cast housings designed to attach to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift-off machine guards. They ensure forced disconnection of safety contacts upon actuator withdrawal and include an anti-tamper mechanism. The rotatable heads offer dual actuator entry positions, enabling up to 8 different configurations. For enhanced durability, flexible actuators and stainless steel head versions are available. The contact blocks are replaceable, with options for explosion-proof versions, and high holding force variants are offered for environments prone to vibration. The switches are equipped with positive break contacts compliant with EN60947-5-1, ensuring high functional safety according to ISO13849-1. They offer 3 pole, 4 pole, or explosion-proof contact block configurations, can connect to most safety relays to achieve up to PLe Cat.4, and have an industry-standard fitting with dimensions of 118mm long, 40mm wide, and a 30mm fixing.
