IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to comply with EN60947-5-3 and are applicable as directed by ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1. Featuring a magnetic sensing mechanism, these switches provide a wide sensing distance of greater than 12mm and are designed for high tolerance to misalignment, making them ideal for extreme environments with varying temperature and moisture conditions. They offer volt-free high power switching capabilities of either 1A or 2A AC/DC, allowing for independent use in low-risk applications or connection to a safety relay for enhanced safety levels. Specifically designed to interlock hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, these switches are advantageous in scenarios requiring tolerance to misalignment, high hygiene standards—such as in food industry environments—and environments necessitating high switching capacity. When paired with dual-channel safety relays, they can achieve up to PLE/Category 4 compliance per ISO13849-1. The switches support magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC at 2A and are available in various housing types, including miniature, compact, wide, or barrel styles, with optional dual channel safety output of 2NC and 1NO auxiliary. They can be constructed from either plastic or stainless steel 316 (compatible with food industry standards), with high-temperature stability reaching up to 80°C for plastic and 105°C for stainless steel. Additional attributes include a wide switching distance, high tolerance to guard misalignment, chemical resistance to many organic and inorganic substances, and an enclosure protection rating of IP67 or IP69K, making them resistant to high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown. The switches comply with EN60947-5-3 PDF-S and feature volt-free contacts rated up to 230VAC at 2A and 24VDC at 2A (internally fused), with a European industry standard fitting and end cable cable point.
