IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to meet the standards of EN60947-5-3 and can be utilized in accordance with ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1. Featuring magnetic sensing technology, these switches boast a sensing distance greater than 12mm and offer high tolerance to misalignment, enabling operation from four directions even under extreme temperature and moisture conditions. They possess volt-free, high-power switching capabilities of either 1A or 2A for AC/DC applications, allowing them to function independently for low-risk applications or in conjunction with a safety relay for enhanced safety levels. Designed to interlock hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, they are particularly beneficial in scenarios of poor guard alignment, high hygiene requirements—such as in food industry environments subjected to high-pressure cleaning—and instances that demand high switching capacity. When paired with dual-channel safety relays, these switches can achieve up to Performance Level e (PL e) or Category 4 per ISO13849-1. Other features include magnetic high-power switching up to 230VAC at 2A, options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel-type housings, dual channel safety output with 2NC and an optional 1NO auxiliary contact, and material choices of plastic or stainless steel 316 for food industry compliance. They maintain high temperature stability, rated up to 80°C for plastic and 105°C for stainless steel, exhibit resistance to a variety of organic and inorganic chemicals, and provide enclosure protection rated to IP67 or IP69K, ensuring resistance to high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown. The switches also incorporate volt-free contacts rated up to 230VAC at 2A and 24VDC at 2A (internally fused), in accordance with European industry standards, and include an end cable point.
