Product Details
The Stainless Steel 316 Hygiecode range has been developed for non-contact guard door interlocking in food processing, pharmaceutical, packaging, and petro-chemical industries. Constructed from Stainless Steel 316, these devices are suitable for Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) cleaning methods and can withstand high-pressure hosing at elevated temperatures, achieving an IP69K rating. Featuring a wide 14mm sensing capability with high tolerance to misalignment, the products have a mirror polished finish with an RA of 4. The design allows for mounting on steel structures and adheres to the guidelines set by the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group) for hygienic design. The housing designs and surface finish enable utilization in environments subject to significant cleaning needs following potential contamination from foreign particles. The range includes various mounting styles to address different levels of food contact as outlined by EHEDG. The direct contact zone adheres to hygienic guidelines, while the splash zone requirements ensure that the switches are easy to clean and can endure the CIP and SIP cleaning processes commonly used in the food industry, confirmed through testing at IP69K. The devices feature universal 22mm fixing centers and are equipped with industry-standard wide fittings, making them suitable for food splash zones with front-facing actuation.
