Idem's LPF-RFID and SPF-RFID non-contact coded switches are designed to maintain a high level of functional safety while offering a high anti-tamper coded activation mechanism. The coding employs magnetic and radio frequency techniques, necessitating the satisfaction of both principles for safe operation. Compatible with most standard safety relays, they can achieve up to Performance Level e/Category 4 according to ISO 13849-1. Constructed from high specification plastic housings, these switches are suitable for use in various environments, including those that require high-pressure cleaning due to contamination from foreign particles. With an IP69K ingress protection rating, they also support Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) processes. The typical sensing distance for activation is 14 mm, featuring a wide tolerance for guard misalignment post-installation. The RFID sensing mechanism provides tamper-resistant operation when the actuator is within the sensing range. Both LPF-RFID and SPF-RFID switches are available in two coding types: Type 1 (LPF-M-RFID or SPF-M-RFID) features a master code with a series coding system, allowing any actuator to operate any switch, ideal for conditions not demanding unique door activations; Type 2 (LPF-U-RFID or SPF-U-RFID) offers 32,000,000 unique codes, factory set for unique activation in settings with multiple interlocked doors that require enhanced security for individual areas.
