The IDEM 450002F KLTM guard locking switch is a die-cast switch designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards. It features a lock mechanism to keep the guard closed until the hazard is removed, with tongue operation and a tamper-resistant key mechanism. These switches can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to EN60947-5-1 or in combination with safety monitoring relays for up to PLe Category 4 or SIL3 compliance. Available in various materials and housing styles, they offer flexibility for different applications such as factory automation, packaging, food processing, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries. The switch includes high security RFID coding, 2 lock monitoring contacts, auxiliary PNP outputs, LEDs for solenoid, lock, and RFID, high holding force of 2000N, 2 emergency manual release points, IP67 rating, and a solid, rugged body measuring 105mm wide, 150mm long, and 73mm fixing.
