The Hoffman A1086CHQRFG Solid Cover/QR is a Type 4X enclosure made of fiberglass, measuring 10.00 x 8.00 x 6.00 inches. This enclosure is designed for durability in corrosive environments, featuring a compression-molded fiberglass construction that offers outstanding chemical and temperature resistance, along with excellent weatherability and physical properties. It includes corner latches for unobstructed access, a continuous hinge for a secure seal, and double latching for added security. The gasket ensures a water-tight and dust-tight seal, while polyester mounting brackets and stainless steel attachment screws are provided with each unit. The enclosure features scratch-resistant polycarbonate windows that are permanently bonded in place, along with molded-in-place threaded brass inserts and plated steel screws for mounting optional panels and terminal block kits. The removable hinged cover is attached to the body with a Type 316 stainless steel hinge pin, and screw-cover enclosures are secured with two captivated Type 316 stainless steel slotted cover screws. Additionally, enclosures equipped with quick-release latches feature corrosion-resistant polyester latches located in the corners, providing unobstructed access. The hinge pin and bail are also made of corrosion-resistant Type 316 stainless steel, and padlock provisions are included in each latch.
