The VM series enclosures range in size from 5" x 3" to 7" x 7", featuring varying depths, 10 sizes, and a variety of configurations. The VM series "CTK" enclosures include a transparent cover, knockouts in the base, and 4 non-metallic corner screws. All bases are constructed from impact and corrosive resistant Valox® 357U thermoplastic polyester in light grey (RAL7035), while the transparent covers are made from Lexan® polyurethane. The enclosures are equipped with molded internal bosses for back panel mounting of components or DIN rails and have a heat deflection temperature of up to 280°F (138°C) according to ASTM D 648. They feature a tongue and groove gasket fitting to ensure a tight seal, along with a seamless poured polyurethane gasket that provides an oil-resistant, watertight, and dust-tight seal. Valox® material can be easily punched, drilled, sawed, or filed, and is a crystalline thermoplastic polyester specifically engineered for demanding end-use environments. The VM series enclosure is suitable for use as insulated electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring boxes, instrument housings, electrical control boxes, and pushbutton housings in wet, dusty, and corrosive environments. The enclosures have a protection degree of IP66 (IEC 529), UL listed types 4, 4X, 3, 3R, 12, 13, CSA listed types 4, 4X, 3, 3R, 12, 13, and NEMA rating types 4, 4X, 3, 3R, 12, 13.
