The VM series enclosures range in size from 4" x 3" to 9" x 3", with varying depths, comprising a total of 13 sizes and multiple configurations. Each standard enclosure features an opaque cover and includes four non-metallic corner screws, all crafted from impact and corrosive resistant Valox® 357U thermoplastic polyester in light grey (RAL7035). The enclosures are designed with molded internal bosses for back panel mounting of components or DIN rails and have a heat deflection temperature of up to 280°F (138°C) according to ASTM D 648. They incorporate a tongue and groove gasket fitting to ensure a tight seal, supported by a seamless poured polyurethane gasket that provides an oil-resistant, watertight, and dust-tight seal. Valox® material can be easily punched, drilled, sawed, or filed, and it is a crystalline thermoplastic polyester engineered for demanding environments. The VM series enclosures serve as insulated electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring boxes, instrument housings, electrical control boxes, and pushbutton housings, specifically designed for wet, dusty, and corrosive conditions. They meet protection degree IP66 (IEC 529) and are UL and CSA listed for types 4, 4X, 3, 3R, 12, and 13, as well as NEMA rating types 4, 4X, 3, 3R, 12, and 13.
