Federal Signal's model 300GCX-024 Selectone® speaker amplifier is specifically designed to produce tones, digital voice messages, and live public address in harsh environments with high ambient noise levels. The unit features a rugged speaker cone and projector made of spun aluminum, with amplification circuitry, tone module, and gain control housed in die-cast aluminum. All surfaces are sealed with powder-coat paint, and dust and moisture-proof gaskets provide protection from environmental elements. The 300GCX is UL and CUL listed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Division 2, Groups F & G; and Class III, and has been tested and approved for Type 4X applications. Internal gain control allows for output adjustment ranging from 0dBA to a maximum of 110dBA at 10 feet. The Selectone speaker amplifiers can be used individually or as part of a plant-wide emergency notification system. It is compatible with the UTM Universal Tone Module, which includes 32 tones, or the TM33 Custom Tone Module, which can be plugged into a Selectone speaker amplifier for stand-alone use or into a Selectone Command Unit for broader signaling capabilities. For plant-wide signaling, each Selectone speaker amplifier can be equipped with a connector kit and wired to a central controller, Selectone Command Unit, or CommCenter® Digital Message Center, which can broadcast tones, voice messages, melodies, and live public address to an unlimited number of Selectone speaker amplifiers. The amplifier has a 5-year limited warranty.
