The Federal Signal 300GCX-120 Selectone is a signal speaker amplifier designed for use in hazardous locations, operating at 120VAC. It produces tones, digital voice messages, and live public address in environments with high ambient noise levels. The unit features a rugged speaker cone and projector made of spun aluminum, while the amplification circuitry, tone module, and gain control are housed in a die-cast aluminum enclosure with powder-coat paint for added durability. It is equipped with dust and moisture-proof gaskets for protection against the elements and is UL listed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G; and Class III, having been tested for use in Type 4X applications. The internal gain control allows for output adjustments ranging from 0dBA to a maximum of 110dBA at 10 feet. The Selectone speaker amplifiers can function individually or as part of a comprehensive plant-wide emergency notification system. The unit is compatible with the model UTM Universal Tone Module, which features 32 tones, or the TM33 custom tone module, allowing for stand-alone use or integration into a Selectone command unit for broader signaling capabilities. For plant-wide applications, a connector kit can be installed in each speaker amplifier and connected to a central controller, Selectone command unit, or CommCenter digital message center, facilitating the broadcasting of tones, voice messages, melodies, and live public addresses across an unlimited number of speakers. This model also includes a 5-year limited warranty.
